Canvas LMS
Canvas is a platform with which I have a massive amount of experience. It is primarily academic oriented and one of the more, if not the most, common OLMS platforms in use post-Pandemic remote schooling. We were using Canvas LMS at the college level well prior to 2020, however.
This demo sample showcases an overview of my Canvas course creations. However, since these are associated with my real work with students, I am limited in what I can show. This clip shows:
A view of the courses I have created for sharing with the Canvas Commons for public use, with a deeper dive into one such course.
An overview of the dozens of courses I have created while an instructor at Bellevue College, as well as a deeper dive into one course.
While some courses use material derived from the Canvas Commons, all courses were entirely designed and built by myself.
Many courses were not in my original endorsement field (such as Physical Education, Occupation Education, Math, or Portfolio) and required extensive research to plan thoughtful curricula
Each course makes maximum use of the many Canvas features, include varied modalities and varied assessment approaches.
Courses highlight instructional design aspects such as state standards and educational rationale.
